Our Story

At Economic Growth Strategies (EGS), we collaborate with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private companies of all sizes. Our founder Tarsha Hearns, is a seasoned entrepreneur and ecosystem builder with over 20 years of experience, providing technical assistance and coaching to thousands of small businesses while creating impactful programs for nonprofits and economic developers.

Prior to founding EGS, Hearns founded The Marketing Lady, LLC ,  a personal brand development firm for entrepreneurial leaders looking to increase their impact. She has launched two entrepreneur centers, managed the Dallas SBA Community Navigator Pilot program, launched the first Women in Tech business accelerator in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and launched a city-wide access to capital collaborative to deploy capital in underserved communities. In 2022, Tarsha was elected to the Provisional Council for the Ecosystem Builders Leadership Project, funded by Kauffman Foundation, where she helped develop nationwide initiatives for entrepreneurship of ecosystem builders.
